Artist Christian Tribastone and several other artists came together on the National Mall Saturday morning for a ‘Sketch Crawl.” The artists made their way through the National Mall stopping a various locations for 45 minutes at a time to stop and sketch.
"It’s an interpretation, not a transliteration. We are not taking one word and replacing it with one sign. If someone asks for an egg, there is a specific sign for that. But if you talk about abstract concepts, like freedom, it can be expressed in many ways. The sign for that would be affected by the context."
