7,000 students a day drop out for many reasons, most of which are largely personal and reflective of their circumstances at home, school and in the community.
We found that students’ decisions to stay in school are also largely personal. In many cases, the same reasons that led to disengagement are also reasons that empower students to excel.
In our latest project, we’re asking students to submit visual representations of their motivations. We’ll “pin” them on our Pinterest board: Why I Go to School.
We also have a lesson plan for teachers to get their classrooms involved.
